Active for over 5 centuries, an obligatory tourist destination for those who go to Sicily, the first thing that strikes the visitor is the presence of our imposing mill. It dominates the scene and frames one of the most beautiful and photographed sunsets in Europe and beyond, in fact in a recent survey, travelers have awarded it as the 4th most beautiful sunset in the world. Subject of an accurate and complex conservative restoration, today the mill is fully functional and the visit inside is one of the main tourist attractions of the salt pans.

La Bottega del Sale, also inside the mill, offers the opportunity to purchase integral sea salts from the Re line, along with various cosmetic products from the Solemarevento line. Mamma Caura deserves an obligatory stop. For those who have more time available, the most exclusive and memorable stop is to reach Isola Lunga. An uninhabited island, within the Stagnone di Marsala Nature Reserve, easily accessible by private lagoon boats, where it will be possible to dive into the salt flats. Coming into contact with salt, with salt water and with the habitat of the saline, causes an immediate relaxing effect, with a great regenerative capacity. Evenings on the island end with aperitifs at sunset and dinners under the stars as well as with the opportunity to spend a night in one of the very exclusive rooms of the Salt Resort.

The Parco della Salina di Cervia company was established on 8th December 2002 by the will of a group of local authorities that became its founding members. These are the Municipality of Cervia, the Province of Ravenna, the Po Delta Park and the Ravenna Chamber of Commerce. For 92% public, it has only one private partner, the Terme di Cervia and Brisighella.

The object of the company is the management of environmental and ecological, cultural and leisure time enhancement and for tourism and ecological purposes, of the area relating to the entire sector of the Cervia salt pans and the area surrounding the same sector. For these purposes, it is proposed to encourage, develop and implement services for tourist users also in terms of information, reception and hospitality.
